She was trained at the Urdang Academy of Ballet and Performing Arts after graduating as a medical nurse. She danced professionally with the Graham English Entreprise touring the far east, including Japan, Hong Kong and China. On her return to the UK, Katrina studied at the Royal Academy of Dance where she gained her RAD registered teachers certificate and diploma. Following this, Katrina continued to pursue her career as a professional dancer. In 2001, she focused on her teaching career and has since gained extensive experience in both the UK and overseas.
